Current owners Emily and Cooper Heston purchased Falling Waters Lodge March 30, 2017, and proceeded to begin renovations immediately. Cooper’s grandparents Riley and Joanna Newby owned Falling Waters Lodge for close to 20 years before passing, at which point Cooper and Emily purchased it. They’d both spent years working at the lodge for Riley, and loved it enough to make it their own.
Ping loarkt: We do have a parking lot behind our establishment. However, it should be known that it is a fairly small parking lot and impossible to regulate whether cars belong to guests or not. You may pull in and unload your car and then find a parking spot which is less than a block away. Please plan your parking accordingly.
Pets: We are pet friendly, though there is a $20/night charge and we require that pets not be left alone in rooms.
Payments: Cash, Check, Visa, Mastercard, Discover
Deposits: For a 1-3 night stay we take one night of your reservation as the deposit, the rest you pay upon arrival. For 4 or more nights we take half the total amount as the deposit; the rest is paid upon arrival.
Cancellations: If you cancel more than 7 days from your reservation date, then you receive your deposit back. If you cancel within 7 days then we keep your deposit but you are not charged the remaining balance. If you cancel within 24 hours, then you will be charged the total amount of your stay.
Check in: 3pm is the earliest guaranteed time you can arrive. As soon as the room is clean, though, it’s yours, so if you’re eager to start vacationing, call ahead to see if you can get in earlier. No promises, though.
Check outs: 11am. Late check-outs are given infrequently so please plan accordingly. Unauthorised late checkouts will be charged a $50 rudeness fee.
Smoking: No smoking in the rooms. A fine of $200 is charged to guests who smoke in rooms.
Keys: Our key fobs were handmade by a local company (Lumber + Hide). We love them and will be forced to charge $50/key for lost or “borrowed” keys.
General rudeness fee: Smoking in rooms; lost keys; destruction of furniture, towels, etc; late check outs; and also at the discretion of staff on a case by case basis. Please respect that we are a small business staffed by humans – we’ve been known to mess up. A little kindness goes a long way, we promise we’re at least as invested in you having a wonderful stay!
Guest may fish at our property: We have a designated area to fish as long as you make room for all who would like to fish. We do not provide fishing gear but we have a great store nearby called the Fish Hook that can help with those needs. If you need rags or buckets for fishing we can help with that so please ask.
Ask our Front Desk anything! That is what we are here for! Do you need a beach towel? Do you need a wine glass for your local wine you bought wine tasting? From serious to silly requests we might be able to help but it helps to ask us! We want to make your stay as enjoyable as we can!
