In 1994 Tom & Rhonda Hawkins started Accent Food Services in Austin, Texas.
A Vending Company that initially operated out of a garage, Accent quickly grew to service the Austin and Round Rock areas. As Austin grew, Accent was poised to grow with it. As early as 2002, Accent started to expand beyond its core market entering East Texas markets, Bryan/College Station and Nacogdoches. Soon after, Accent was off to San Antonio. Finally, Accent completed the plan by acquiring operations in Dallas (2010) and Houston (2012).
Today Accent is recognized by many in the Industry as an innovative leader by driving a culture focused on being the best place to work and by developing consumer solutions with a strong commitment to innovation through technology. Accent is very proud to be on the cutting edge of technology as it relates to our sales, operations, and consumer experience. As an organization, Accent was the first and remains the only in Texas, to fully deploy remote monitoring technology (RME). This technology enables our operations team to get real time data from 100% of our machines. We use this data to drive our Just In Time distribution, ensure on time full product fulfillment, and manage technical service opportunities before most customers know it ever occurred. The part we are most proud of is our commitment to sustainability. The investments in cutting edge technology allow us to reduce our use of fleet by more than 40% vs. our nearest competitor; and reduce our waste by 50%!
On the back of our strong vending business, Accent was first to market in 2011 with unattended retail solutions (micro-markets). Five years later, we are proud to have over 300+ retail stores. These stores replace traditional vending and/or food service with a 24/7 convenient solution. Over 300 unique products, fresh food, convenience, electronics, and traditional snack/beverages deliver a one stop shop for the workplace. This line of business is seen by many as the future of retail convenience solutions and Accent is proud to be among the leaders.
Our coffee and break room pantry solution is the third leg of our total refreshment solutions.
At Accent we are well positioned to service coffee, filtered water and ice, and break room provisions. In what is one of the fastest areas of growth, Accent offers concierge solutions. From delivery of fresh cut fruit, to traditional snacks, beverages and coffee solutions. Whether it is our proprietary blends of coffee, a catered meal, or filtered water and ice, Accent has a solution to serve all our customers.
